Herbed compound butter with garlic is a delicious restaurant style technique that you can quickly and easily replicate in your own home kitchen. Join Eric from Simply Elegant Home Cooking as he demonstrates his method for this delicious butter! It is very important to use fresh herbs and ROASTED garlic which will cut down on the sharp flavor when garlic is left raw. The herbed butter can be enjoyed in so many ways such as on bread, pasta, steak, fish, and chicken just to name a few ideas!

For Eric's method for roasted garlic, see below:

Ingredients:
-5 cloves roasted garlic
-1 stick butter
-2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves, finely minced
-2 tablespoons chives, finely minced
-pinch of sea salt and black pepper

Directions:
-Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves into a mortar and pestle, add the salt, and crush until the garlic forms a paste.
-Add in the butter and the black pepper and again crush and mix together until the garlic, butter, and seasonings are well incorporated.
-Finely mince the thyme leaves and the chives with a knife.
-Add the thyme and chives to the garlic butter and GENTLY mix with a spoon and a fork.
-Place the compound butter onto cling wrap and form into a log shape.
-Refrigerate for 1 hour.
-Serve alongside your favorite dish and enjoy!
