This is where the Flipper is a better platform for recording. For one, it maybe already have the protocol in its code, or could be added where the hackrf is stuck capturing a raw file. However, there are dumps for hackrf and it can parse sub files for the flipper.
There's still a hundreds of RF and IR protocols to add to these devices in general.
It's nice to capture a signal and have parsed to binary, and then output what it goes too, and which button, rather than a raw recording for each.
Still, it's good information on how to record a raw signal and save it.

What is that tape you used for extra grip on the rotary encoder ive noticed sweaty thumbs cause crazy fatigue using it.

Can this device do everything that the original HackRF One can do? It's just the original is more expensive ($350) and looks bigger. So IDK if the original has more power or features or something?
