I wanted to become a marine biologist as a kid. When I realized I lacked scientific and mathematical aptitude, I turned to reefkeeping instead. And I can tell you my Clownfish would be too sad to see me leave and study the bigger ocean.

I'm currently an undergraduate student looking to get a masters in marine biology. I've been fascinated with this career for a long time. However, one of the biggest issues I've been worried about in pursuing this career is the whole independency thing. I've always imagined working with a team in this sort of career, but if that's not how it really works, I'm not sure if its really going to suit me since I'm really used to following instructions, a set plan, a schedule, or someone else's orders.

My biggest drive in marine biology is because I want to research sharks, specifically. I want to be in the field with them, tag them, study their ecology, follow their patterns, etc.
