i don't think the sony a7V will be a leap forward because they will probably keep the sensor. The other stack sensors are 42 Mpx or 24Mpx at Sony. If they take 24 Mpx people will complain that they lose resolution and it will compete with the A9. If they take 42 Mpx they have a good argument to raise the price but it will bring it close to the A1. That said Sony doesn't have a competitor to the Nikon Z8 or the Canon R5II but the thing is the A7V should compete with Z6 and R6 but they created some needs with 33Mpx.

At this point it might be 2026 before we see this camera. I am looking forward to seeing the Canon Mark6 iii. Also sounds like DJI might be throwing there hat into the market too. Keep hearing Sony is just sitting on this camera on purpose instead of releasing it to their customer base.

There is no develop further than the sony A7 till the new models in body quality. The Af an sensor is very good. But the menu and the body are not mine.
