You’re absolutely right.. i have seen people getting into top positions & getting promoted by climbing on shoulders of their buddies/ mentors but after a point, due to lack of skills, unable to handle work as per expectations, utilising their power to commit financial fraud/negligence, they land in challenging situations. I feel people should firstly be expert at their work & on top of that having such buddies in corporate will help them.

this is such a bad take in today's internet world where getting cancelled is the norm.

Once your reputation takes a hurt it -10x because of twitter and reddit, then references -2x.


honestly the game is to get cancelled way before career takes off.
