To anybody that hasn't seen Snowfall, I gotta give them props for putting this song on. The show always had Kendrick Lamar vibes all around in its general themes and messages, and for the creators to put this at the forefront of their show as a way to end it off is an ultimate tribute to what the message means not for just black ppl but fot ppl as a whole in trying to fulfill one's life with considerations for the way of the world we seemingly are trapped to on a daily basis in seeking out that completion to our lives

this is my favorite kendrick track. i Had a ex who died while i was away at Las vegas, she first got me into kendrick since she lived in paramount and suggested me to listen to DAMN, i still listen to this to remember the times i had with her. when kendrick says "it wasnt all to share but there" it reminds me of the relationship me and her had, we got really intimate and would share everything, at first it was things like beds and toothbrushes. but then we shared our friends, we couldnt spend morethan an hour apart from each other and people made jokes of us being the same person. "in another life i surely was there" makes me think of an alternate reality when i was able to be with my ex and maybe she wouldnt of had died. with the "maybe i wasnt there"s i feel a lot of regret and there were a lot of things i could of had done differently. i also have a second interpretation in which i think that she is in another life. and that once i die i will join her. this song always makes me very sad so I tell my friends not to play it when we are in a car or we in a call.
