Frost Nova Sorc with 3800 MANA!! - Players 8 Showcase - Diablo 2 Resurrected on PS5

I wanted to see if the Frost Nova was viable in P8 with some GG gear. I certainly think is it, and it works, but it's not a strong and safe as the Lightning Nova.

you dont need fhr with es build at all, fhr only triggers when you take damage = to 1/12 of your max hp or more

I think this with the right plague Merc could be really good, maybe plague/phoenix

faster hit recovery doesn't really do much for es builds since you only get put into hit recovery if you take at least 8% of your max hp in damage from a single hit. Since flat damage reduction (like from your vipermagi) applies first you are pretty much always taking 0 damage to your life and thus never being put into hit recovery

Could maybe try out with a +3 Frost Nova Ormus 5/5 cold faceted and a Jmod Monarch with 4x 5/5 cold facet in for more damage? Will lose some survivability of Viper but might deal considerable more dmg

I just want Frozen Orb buffs. All "Keystone" or End skills should be viable for P8 builds imo, and that sadly just isn't the life we live.

I really like how the skills are assigned to controller buttons . On the pc - I usually set up one skill on the left and the rest on right ... then scroll through the other skills assigned with the space bar . If you use the mouse wheel - it will change to something else at the worst possible time - LoL !!

I don't know how people are doing Lightning Nova Sorcs ... It never really had enough damage before to make it viable - they must have buffed it when they made D2R ??

I’m trying to do ES nova this ladder but I know it’s generally an expensive build… can anyone tell me how to get to a good point of MF running with it… I got lucky enough to get a shako but literally right now I’m running weak gear around the board and can only do tower runs and arcane runs, almost literally every other area I die or do no damage, so how do I get to that point? Just grind it until things drop? The archers in act 1 annihilate my merc and I, some of the little Minotaur guys and skeletons are so strong and don’t die at all… I need help!

I have a different forzen nova build. use insight instead of infinity which I think it's not that useful for cold sorc. Just 1 point to ES or from a CTA staff and 20 points to ice blast, then you have a good Blizzard dmg, drop a blizzard before nova will definitely increase your clear speed in higher players. With blizzard and ice blast you can easily take any boss, nova is really pathetic for boss
