The moment Galactus was introduced by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, that was when Marvel Comics went cosmic.

Glad galactus is finally getting the spotlight I've loved him for years

To be honest I never saw Galactus as a villain but more so as a force of nature. A god who takes no pleasure in destruction and death. It is simply a means to an end. He’s even willing to try and avoid killing. That was the original point of the heralds.

What if? Trailer: "A watcher must never interfere"
Me: OH NO

Kirby brought the Cosmic gods to the Comics. I love him for how grandious his characters were.

Galactus doesn’t want to hurt people, he just has to eat planets to survive and keep the universe balanced.

As a young kid I was supposed to do a book report, and I got ahold of a reprint of the fantastic 4 galactic saga. it's epic, sweeping, and frankly adult topic moved me and lit my imagination, I wrote out everything with care and great detail.
My oral book report had the entire class riveted. I looked up each word so I could explain everything to the class, who asked a ton of questions.
my teacher eventually cut me off and the whole class grumbled.
I got a D as a grade because a comic book wasn't a "real book."
I was 9 years old at the time.
Your video brought back a great memory of mine which I regard as a triumph.

"Please don't eat my planet! I'll find empty planets for you to eat instead!"

Embued with power cosmic.

"Hey! Come eat this Earth planet!"

This is why i love Galactus. He's not a power hungry villain that destroys stuff for fun rather he has a good reason for it. When norrin told him how he will destroy an entire race he just replied with reasons in some sort of desperation that he's just happen to be the way he is and he can't help it. He's right. He's a force of nature and it's what he does for survival.

Silver Surfer at 5:30-
"But there are other planets, other worlds where no intelligent life exists...".
Also Silver Surfer, but one minute later-
"See, try Earth!"

I would have thought that this would have been a episode already.

"Don't poke the bear"?

Surely the Sleeping Giant quote works better...

Sounds like Stan lee had very little to do with galactus creation; I’m glad to see jack Kirby finally getting his credit after all of these years

The dialogue between Galactus and Noran always gives me chills! Brilliant writing!

There was also that time Galactus became *friends* with a group of humans who came to his ship and gave him an upgrade, then created his own super team of planets and thoughtforms, and saved the multiverse.
