Some people need religion. Without it some don't have hope or feel they have a purpose. As long as you aren't harming other forcing it on people then who cares.

Now if religion would magically disappear, then it would probably solve some of the conflicts we are experiencing today. But as conflict is inevitable, we would probably just fight over something else

I think ppl are free to believe whatever they want to believe as long as what they believe in makes them happy and does not harm others.

I get it. I was once a Christian but now I'm an atheist. Some see religion as a way to see meaning in life, but honestly being in both points of view, knowing the universe through science is so freeing and wonderful. I know that(at least for me) when I want a spiritual experience, I look at the stars at night. Not to realize that a god made it all for our tiny planet, but that I'm fortunate enough to live in a vast galaxy.

I don't like the word religion because when people hear that most of the time it's a negative thought. I am Christian, but it's not about religion, it's about having a real relationship with God. For me I do need my relationship with God and I would love if everyone had one but I know that that will never happen. God gives us free will so we can choose to have a relationship with Him and it's not a bunch of rules like most people think. It's having an intimate relationship with God.

It depends what you mean by need. If you mean need as in a necessity to live then no. If you mean need in the sense that we need religion to exist in order for the human race to exist, it's questionable. If you mean need in the sense that we need religion to be happy then it's purely subjective. If you mean need in terms of post mortem then it's subjective.

This was a nice video. Apart from what parts of religion are fact or fiction, it's nice to see that people don't take their different creeds so seriously. I think that relaxed attitude could really be taken into some other parts of the world.

do we need it as humans? no. because it's just another human written old book. However, some people need it because they've had it forever and their families had it and it gives them hope and faith and stuff. that's ok. Using it to discriminate or sanction violence in any form is not

i been Christian all my life & i my bf has been Catholic all his life & we love each other so much, for me its forbidden to be with him, my parents haven't found out but when they do, i know they're going to be really disappointed & make me break up with him or kick me out if i wanna stay with him.

religion is definitely not a necessity in modern society, it's just a choice that people make. Some people find solace in practicing religion, and others find strength in other ways. religion isn't for everyone
