Thank you for this. We were really curious why the action was so high out of the box. Now they're perfect.

I wish I could figure out WTF this guy means about adjusting the saddle. Is there any reason he didn't utilize the camera to show what he was adjusting? I mean this is a video and all, right

Bummer, I was hoping to see how-to adjust the hardtail action height on my PRS Mira S2, like what he showed at the first half, but when he started to adjust the height, it switched to a individual saddle type bridge with tremolo bridge :(

Great Job. Please show close up shot of the Saddle Screws.

Thank you for that. I recently bought an SE Custom 24, and found the action a bit high, and needed advice on the best way to lower it.

How do you adjust the rest of the strings in relation to both e-strings? Do we need a radius gauge for that?

I realize this video is a year old, but my question is how do you lower the action once you run out of travel on the saddles? My guitar has the trem screws set to float so there's a half step of upward travel. However, the action is still higher than I would like it to be, and both of my E strings are already at the deck on the saddles. Is there a way to keep the half step of upward travel without lowering the tremolo via the trem screws? Or will I have to sacrifice some upward travel to get the action lower? Hopefully someone sees this and can offer some insight. Thanks in advance.

James! Is it possible to get an S2 set up where the intonation is proper at the 12 th fret and the notes are accurate on the 1st thru 3rd frets. Treble strings especially. I know nothing is perfect and am living with the intonation a little flat on the bridge. Whats UP ? What to look for . Nut slots, break action out of tuners, dressing on the frets, relief? Whats up I am about to give up on PRS

any tips of guitar not stying in tune (as in the nut is grabbing string). I normally can adjust and have many non-locking guitars, which stay dead on tune, even when I do a dive bomb (ala Lonely Boy intro).. The PRS Studio I got, will just go sharp on E and G string.. tried everything including screwing up the first nut (went to low). Took it to "Luthier" he made new one even worse.

I have a 2 month old CE 24 that is getting some serious string buzz on first 3 strings, but mostly G. From this video I don't understand how to slightly raise a string. My 12th fret measurement of 1st string seems fine. Is this really a truss rod adjustment, and should a new guitar, that has only been used at home have this problem?

What about for a stoptail bridge, how high/low should it be?

It would be nice if PRS color coded the wrenches, the saddle key and one of the others are to close in size which might cause issues, in my opinion, thanks for the vid

Thanks for the video.
Would you expect to action to change over time?
My PRS SE Custom now needs adjustment after 6 years or so.
It has been stored/subjected in lower temperatures recently but is in a thick/good gig bag.

Hi! I have got a prs se 2408, my guitar used to stay in tune while using the tremolo arm, but not it doesnt... i have seen an issue the bridge height. The pivot screw side of the brige is 2mm on both the bass and treble side. But at the end of the bridge, there is a slight angle on bass side which is slightly more than 2mm but on the treble side its 2mm... my question is if this caused for not staying in tune while using tremolo. Also how can i make it sit perfectly parallel to body i.e. 2mm on all four corners of the bridge

Has prs ever done anything to correct the thousands of guitars that had the wraparound tilt of sitar.i know tonepros 2 wraparound fixes the bridge issue but it can also create another which is the radius change once replacing the bridge.i got great tuning with locking tuners and the tp2 but unless I set up with high action the D string is a buzzen. The guitar is a prs se245 soapbar tobacco burst (2013) model I just love this guitar but faster lower action is what I'm trying to accomplish. I know the radius only allows for a limited action but mines way high. Can you give me some pointers for this problem. Like should I replace the nut or cheat the radius with a little flatter fret level ?

Checking or adjusting the truss rod should precede changing string height. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere for that step.

I'm looking for recommendation on a Paul's guitar for changing the action slightly. In this video you mention not changing the action using the Bridge pole pieces. My options are adjusting the truss rod or Bridge poles...?

Should I use a capo for measuring string action like you check neck relief?
