To get rid of the kinda burning inside/taste just use less baking soda, I do a pinch from my hand

First time I tried making this it immediately burned when I added the baking soda, had to wrestle the pan trying to clean it for 30 minutes! Second time I tried this I was making it good but I had dropped my spatula and hurried to get it cleaned up, I come back to the pan and the mixture is super thick. I ended up with a mangled circle with a semi-Christmas tree to cut out. The cookie came out fine though. Make sure to keep it on low to medium heat and take it off the flame while mixing every once in a while. Also don’t burn down your house and add about half a teaspoon of baking soda.

Hii. I am a teenager and I have a squid game obsessed younger brother. I decided on making these for him but it didn’t go too well. The sugar melted way too much that it got stuck to the pan and the baking soda didn’t quite help. I even started the tiniest fire while trying to make these. NO HATE WHATSOEVER to the channel or the recipe. All I’m saying is be careful and if your a teenager PLZZZ have adult supervision otherwise you’ll end up with a ruined pan.
