Please note: DO NOT USE JUST ANY FOOD COLORING, I use gel which I feel is the safest, using liquid I had my meringue completely deflate and went through a dozen eggs trying to figure out what it could be.

did you know that macarons are actually Italian? Macarons have their roots in Italy, not France, as is often assumed. They were originally made as simple cookies made of almond flour, sugar, and egg whites and came to France in the 16th century, probably through Catherine de Medici. The filled, two-shell macarons we know today weren't developed until the 20th century.

With putting vanilla flavour and pink colour is good but basic, why not add strawberry flavour instead of vanilla. I like the flavour to match the colour when possible

What brand of almond flour do you use? I used the red mill super fine brand and even when I sift it, it almost feels moist and won’t fit very well through my sifter. The end result batter is always a little grainy.

I just made and they seemed great but they aren't as smooth when baked as hers. Does anyone know if the have to be smooth?
