Well, I think, one of the main difference between the SBC & micro controller based device is the low latency time. Micro controller reacts very fast to an interrupt or can do fast low level operation. But SBC has layers of software so latency time is more, though programming in SBC is easy. In micro-controller you can write code in assembly which means you are interacting directly with the hardware to get real-time response. This is from my experience. Correct me if m wrong.

13:28 Single Board Computer - LattePanda comes with Windows10 for £85 but I think there is some reliability issues.. Worth checking it out.
