Lots of stuff going on here. It's romantic, sad, and potentially scary for her future. She needs to let him in because she needs his love and his protection. The music is deceptively dreamy and lovely, for the story that it is about. Great to know this while listening though, it adds a layer of complexity to the song.
Sounds like a sequel is needed here, and maybe a video with that happy ending. Videos are great for telling the story. Just a thought. Thanks for this one Mick and Simply Red 😊❤.
