Excellent tutorial. I never used 3D software and I was able to create this part with no problem. I just need to do it three or more times and I'll be able to do it with no problem.

this is a great tutorial in the sense that when i was done it i had made the part, but i dont really understand solidworks much better. it would help if you explained what each feature you used was good for in a variety of circumstances, and why it was needed so that we could more eaisily apply what we just learned to other parts we are making

Fist time using SolidWorks. Watched over and over many times to be able to create my parts. Super fast for beginner. Did not catch how to rotate? Finally found how to rotate but it seems your default allow you to rotate without clicking many steps. How to set it that way?

Great Video! Only one problem, I'm assuming we are using different updates of 2013, but the fillet of 1.5mm will not allow the shell of 2mm to work correctly. I had to change the fillet to 2mm.

I'm a month late but, I right click on the image and select; Zoom/Pan/Rotate then select Rotate. You can then rotate the image.

And to show the Rotate button on the display somewhere!! I don’t have a 3d mouse, only a regular,
it hard to right click every time and go to Rotate..
