St Nicholas at Lower Oddington in the Cotswolds is a stunning large medieval church begun in the 12th century, it now lies at the end of a single track road half a mile from its village. It is famous for the Doom painting inside, perhaps the largest in England.

The frescoes are wonderful and a document of it's antiquity. Thank you for sharing again a bit of English Heritage.
Merry Christmas.

Thank you for this.
Near my old home in Lancashire is the village of Churchtown just north of Preston up the A6. The church of St Helen is a wonderful little mish mash. Part of an older nave remains inside along with wall paintings discovered undervwhitewash. It also still has a charnel house at one side. I must root out the photos I took.
