Does a sway bar have a positive or negative effect when facing one wheel bumps?

I understand if both wheels hit the same bump it has little to no effect.

But if only one wheel hits the bump, it pulls the body down on the other side too instead of letting the two sides stay independent.

torsion diagram is backwards. outside/inside wheel need to flip. outside wheel/control arm/sway bar link experiences upward motion.
