3rd party characters are characters that are on both ps3 and xbox and maybe wii. examples are big daddy, isaac clarke, lara croft and dante

crash bandicoot, old snake, cloud, auron, tidus, sephiroth (all mayor FF characters really), lara croft, jak and daxter, ratchet and clank, dante, they could throw in so many iconic VG characters...

this is potencialy awesome for those who grew up with PS instead of Nintedo

I think some likely additions would be Spyro (the original) at least one final fantasy character, jak, ratchet probably with clank as well, sackboy if he hasn't already been confirmed

My thoughts exactly! I find it absurd that these radically unique characters aren't distinguishable from one another; that's a critical component of hectic 4-player games.

I hope Dr. Nefarious is in this game. He is one of the best and funniest villains from Sony's lineup of characters.

I hope that this isn't the only game mode where you need to get a super just to kill and do damage, I hope they add some health options, and stock matches kind of like in brawl so that the player(s) have more choice over the way they want to fight! But it looks pretty good so far!
