That's just the south side(which isn't that bad unless you go closer toward downtown). The north and east side is a lot worse.

Lived here my whole life. Things are a little different in south city. Just be aware of your surroundings and mind your business. People in the city drive a certain way. Don’t be surprised to see people run stop signs or speed a hundred miles an hour. I’ve never had any issues but a lot of the time it’s too close for comfort. Unfortunately this is the society we live in now

I played a show in St. Louis once in 2003. It was a pretty quiet town.

5 min mark on the video is near where I was at, byTed Drews (when CharlieBo313 turned on Merrimack going to south grand). I know people are saying these aren't the worst in St. Louis, but don't kid yourself. Dutchtown/State Streets are get-your-ass-shot bad. It just doesn't look it because the neighborhood didn't change to its tipping point until 2000. It was a relatively safe neighborhood until the 1990's. Most of Charlie's other hoods are 4-5 decades deep into decay.

Are you using a GPS unit ? Or, are your viewers from those particular 'hoods giving you the specifics ?
