My nephew turned me onto your email, and YouTube shows. I’m 71 in the throws of mourning my husband of 47 years and you have given me more to know in this life I have lived so far. I thank you for that. We have had a beautiful marriage of which I’m beyond grateful and I have many blessings in my grandchild my family and the people around me. I’m glad to add you as one of those blessings to make even more of this life that I have no regrets of. I’m sad and missing but I also know what I had and what I have and all to give. Thank you

"Look for the poetry in ordinary things." Back in college I took a poetry writing course. I remember my professor stressing the idea that if you're going for a walk or a jog that you shouldn't wear headphones because you miss out on the beauty of so many things. Your surroundings and even the rhythm of your own heartbeat are beautiful things that can inspire many great lines. I've never forgot this and even though I don't write poetry anymore, I still think like a poet. However, I wouldn't recommend not wearing headphones in a gym because they're usually blaring some garbage.

As a recovering addict stoicism is the best philosophy I could have ever encountered. I still have a long way to go to being the person I want to be but employing these strategies has transformed me into a person I can be proud of. I've been in sobriety / recovery since 2017. Have overcome severe mental health conditions and am focusing on my passion in life. Its wonderful.

When I think of Marcus Aurelius’s teachings I always remember - Give me the SERENITY to ACCEPT the things that I can’t control, the COURAGE to CHANGE the things that I can, and the WISDOM to know the DIFFERENCE. ❤😊

It is almost 6 month of war here in Ukraine. And my native city is right on the front line. All these missile strikes, artillery, etc. ruining places that were part of my life and killing people I knew made me to revise some thoughts on life priorities. Extreme situations like this kind of underline what is really important in your life. A food and water enough to be healthy and sometimes something tasty just for pleasure of tasting a good dish. Clean and warm bed to sleep. Possibility of having a walk in the park and watching birds, squirrels, etc. People you care are in safety and are healthy. An opportunity to work on things you want to master. This is actually it. Its actually what is enough.
Situation brought me to something on the edge of stoicism and Nietzschean overcoming of yourself. And while googling on stoicism I came across with your channel.
Just want to say - thank you. You are doing a great job sharing thoughts and spreading an ideas to people that need them!

It’s with all this stoicism trend nowadays that I’ve discovered that I’ve been a stoic all my life without even knowing it! Interestingly, sometimes I felt that I had an “uncommon” approach to the situations which didn’t match the usual behavior of many people, and that made me think that maybe I was wrong about my way of thinking. But it just happened that I was a stoic 😄 good that now I can name it and be proud of it!

Since I was a kid I have read stoicism, became so depressed under the pandemic and brought me back to stoicism, under the pandemic I had reviewed my entire lifetime, I had not find regrets on me, other than not getting my Hi School Diploma or GED.

In a culture that sees asking for help as a sign of weakness, no single act carries the weight of true strength more than rejecting the entire culture by asking for that help.

I attend a local Greek Orthodox Church, and my priest has told me repeatedly " strict with yourself, and lenient with others "
Our job is to work on us .

I just realised I can totally use "the obstacle is the way" when teaching maths. We talk in education about how the struggle to understand something is actually so important to making it stick in your brain. Anything to keep up my persona as the "weird teacher" anyway lol.
