You are so right with the baby not needing a piercing. On the contrary: these piercings will be on the „wrong“ spot, when the baby grows up, because the ear changes while growing up. A friend of mine had them repierced when she was an adult because they were in the total wrong position…

I bought these little stick-on gems from Spirit Halloween to test where I would have a piercing placed and if I would even want one in that area. Saves me a ton of money and healing time trying to figure out facial piercings. I feel like that should be what parents do when their kid says they want piercings, like if they can clean and reapply the gems on where ever they want pierced every single day for what would be the healing time of the real piercing then they are responsible enough to have it AND they get to cheaply figure out if they really do want the piercing there.

Honestly coming from a Mexican household, it’s actually pretty common for girls to get their ears pierced as a baby. I got my lobes pierced as young as the baby in the video.
Of course now being an adult I refuse to ever do that if I had kids!
I’ve seen my baby niece get hers pierced at age 1 and I’ll never forget the tears I got from hearing her scream and cry from the pain!

i'm not a fainter, but i also felt a little wobbly after my septum piercing, even though it didn't hurt at all and it was over really fast. it's really weird how our bodies react to stuff.
