“It’s difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on him not understanding it.” Such a powerful statement.

I loved the movie and i was literally depressed watching while hysterically laughing at how good they portrait our reality. But i’m feeling worse after seeing those people the movie was mocking in comments now.

An engineering professor in college frequently posed questions requiring us to try to explain technical phonomena, like turbulent flow, in "man on the street" language without any technical jargon. This way of thinking has been very helpful in my career when you need to help non-technical people, like accountants, politicians, or MBAs, understand what we're doing and why. Effective science educators, like Neil Degrass Tyson, are really great at this.

I swear, the part where Randall literally starts yelling out loud about what will happen and how he’s confused to why people think it’s a good thing was perfect!🌟

As a scientist myself, I feel like pulling my hair our all the time. This film accurately illustrated the frustration and anxieties doing this and other type of work.

My family of origin can't even have an intelligent conversation about issues that affect every one of us personally. Expecting people like them (and I love them all dearly) to have rational conversations about global issues is just putting the bar way too high. I think it is for most people, honestly.

All the ignorant people who didn’t get the movie is who it’s targeting

The movie is amazing but made feel so nervous because of HOW REAL it is. The last parts of the movie with the presidential campaign felt a lot like the issue with COVID. Lot of people didn’t believe it was happening and a lot of the government was in a “sit tight and assess” mode. For a really long time.

This movie actually reminds me of Black Mirror a bit, just not that dark. Excellent work there 9/10

So many of us know what it's like to try our best to communicate when we are completely misunderstood or completely rejected. It is a horrible experience. I felt as though I was enveloped by this movie. I had not idea the goal was to make a point about climate change. Could be about anything important.

Interesting movie not what I expected but a bizarre satire that was entertaining to watch

I understand that people want to trust and believe in their intuition and instincts but it’s ok to listen to scientists. They studied for years to give you the best information.

“We've arranged a global civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on science and technology. We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster. We might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later this combustible mixture of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces.”" (Carl Sagan).

This move is correct. Including it’s ending - which is the most likely outcome for our planet and the human race.

There is simply not the preparedness to act that we need to avert this crisis.

I love being a mathematician for not having to deal with so many stupid opinions. Nobody calls me names or accuses me of being in a conspiracy for noncommittally trusting the Riemann hypothesis.

Don't watch this alone, or at least, talk about it with friends afterward. Just try to remember, it is art. No one is wrong in their interpretation of art. That's its power. The power of laughter to relieve tension, the power of comedy to show the tragedy. Everybody knows, on some level, that we're in a heck of a predicament. Be kind to one another.

From what I've observed with the repeating failures after each climate summit, I believed we're all doomed as in the film. No amount of yelling by scientists will be louder than corporate lobbyists with fistfuls of cash. Power

Lmao they got a scientist with the same hair and everything 😂😂😂

This movie covers a lot about what we all are dealing with. And how the professionals are looked at like they are crazy. There are way to many people who just don’t care about our home. They don’t care about the most important things that we should care about. At least half the population believes in people that don’t have a clue.
