32 million raised to date, national hero and inspirational figure that people turned to. No. 1 in the album charts for his song and oldest person to have a no.1 ever. Made Honory Colonel at the age of 100 and received both a fly past of spitfires and hurricanes on his birthday over his house, to include birthday messages from the royal family and PM and over 150 thousand birthday cards including the one you get from the queen. He reminded us on how to be british at the 11th hour.

Soon WW2 veterans and people alive during that time will just be a footnote in history, we should cherish them. We should also reflect that we too will be a footnote in history one day.

What a giant of a man! I hope our so called leaders reflect upon themselves, change their ways of thinking and acting and start trying to measure up!

Currently being attacked by the "Twitter Mob" for having his dream holiday, with his family, in the Caribbean, courtesy of British Airways; it seems that single-handedly raising £32 million, at 100 years old isn't enough!
