Grew up as a kid listening to this music 24/7 in Yaba Lagos Nigeria. The security man in front of our house plays this track and others all day. Heard he died recently may Allah bless his soul. We call him Dan Gariya as a kid don't know what that means though.
Though I don't understand a word of what she sings, her voice and instrumentals has been imprinted in my head forever. Good Music they say cuts across tribes, age and breaks down barriers too. I can listen to Oumou Sangare all day.

La première fois j'ai écouté ce morceau Moussolou de l'album éponyme, c'était à la Radio France Internatonale dans l'émission En sol majeur de Yasmine Chouaki. J'en étais très ému. Après elle a été reçue par Claudy Siar dans Couleur tropicale toujours sur Rfi. Dans cette émission, la diva était revenue sur les circonstance de la composition de ce moreau. J'ai encore un enregistrement de cette émission. Quand j'ai l'angoisse de la panne blanche c'est Oumou qui me dépanne. Oumou Sangaré est une icône de la musique africaine. Je nourris le rêve de la rencontrer un de ces jours. J'ai un cousin qui adore également sa musique.
