The difference between antiplatelet vs anticoagulant blood thinners is important – if you give the wrong one to a patient, it could be life-threatening.

Antiplatelets work by preventing blood platelets from sticking together and forming clots. Anticoagulants, on the other hand, keep your blood from clotting too much.

Blood thinners are often prescribed for patients with heart problems or other conditions requiring regular monitoring of blood flow throughout the body.

I usually remember the antidotes this way:
"In (H)eaven there is (P)eace.
In (W)ar there is (K)aos"

Heparin = Protamine Sulfate
Warfarin = Vitamin K

For those who are confused (like me☺) about what 'H/H' or 'H & H' means,
it refers to the levels of Hemoglobin (Hb) and Hematocrit (Hct)

Hemoglobin (Hb):
Adult male: 13.5-17.5 grams per deciliter (g/dL)
Adult female: 12.0-15.5 g/dL
Newborn: 14.5-24.5 g/dL
Children: 11.5-15.5 g/dL

Hematocrit (Hct):
Adult male: 38.8%-50.0%
Adult female: 34.9%-44.5%
Newborn: 45%-65%
Children: 35%-45%
