China extends military drills around Taiwan | Rush Hour

Chinese leaders announced more military exercises near Taiwan between now and the end of the week. At least one commentator from Chinese State Media said military drills off the coast of Taiwan will now become more routine.

The show of force is a clear and alarming escalation in the tension between the U.S. and China leading many American lawmakers to believe an invasion of Taiwan could be closer than we thought before.
