Have you Ever Wanted To AIRBEND!
What Would It Be Like to Shoot A Stream of Air From Your Hands?

Avatar The Last Airbender is one of my favorite shows of all time! It inspired me to start doing tricking and got an entire generation interested martial arts. So how does airbending work? Time to learn how to ride air and shoot a stream of wind from our hands like Aang in this episode!

Whose all in for being an Airbender?! 😀

And for learning how wind works on our planet... Lol

This is also backed up by tenzin saying " airbenders are able to manipulate their body temperature to accommodate for different weather."

Its not about shooting wind, its about being able to move directions in an instinct, like wind

It like when you blow air in the winter when you blow, the warm air in your body interacts with the cold air outside

This was a very cool and interesting take on how Airbending could work in physics, but one question I have is how would Airbender's gain the energy to fuel their powers? We all know that Firebenders draw energy from the sun, and watebenders draw energy from the tides, but where do Airbenders draw their energy from? This also becomes a lot more interesting if grounded in physics and real-world principles, so I'm interested in how this would work.

EM field manipulation to manipulate temperature?

I've heard a theory that electromagnetic forces can cool and heat air is that true?

So what is the difference between an air bender or a fire bender

I remember when I learned how to make tornados with my breath

Yeaah, that makes no sense. Why is air not burning anyone then? Why there's no difference in bending in both north pole and in place surrounded by fire?
Wouldn't fire create different pressure and made airbending extra hard? Especially during final fight with Ozai. Why wasn't it mentioned anywhere? Why would they life extra high, if it was easier for them to bend? The base of air bending is to overcome boundaries of your mind and body, thus it would make NO SENSE for them to choose easier path.
Also, why waterbenders can't Airbend then? They can change temperatures, they can take particles of water from air (like we can see in episode with Hama), what stops them?
Same with firebending - it also changes temperature of surroundings? When you use a fan while it's hot, do you think about "changing pressure of air" or simply changing its location, making it move faster with other object? When you move, you can feel air flowing, slight feeling on your face or hands, etc, it's not like it's just because of pressure changes.
Airbending is art of understanding yourself, earth, respect to both of them and balance of knowing when to go, or not, with the flow.
Not without reason Korra had problems with understanding airbending - it wasn't about her being terrible at temperatures xd it was about her own path of understanding her spirituality. She was a person too bounded to earth and strength of own body (visible in comparison between her taking part in pro bending and working out with tenzin).

I apologize if this is kinda late but I'm just curious to know. What's wrong with the idea of telekinetically moving individual air molecules/atoms/particles around to create wind? Obviously Telekinesis (or Aerokinesis in this case) doesn't exist in real life, but assuming it did, would simply moving large amounts of air in concentrated directions not be enough to simulate a gust/blast of wind? Is a difference in temperature the only way for air to propagate as wind?

So how do you think we can change the temperature of the air simply by using our bodies?
