It’s been 16 years, and yet fans around the world are still theorizing about the Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of KorraTV shows, but also their comic books and novels. And with the fresh and exciting launch of Nickelodeon’s Avatar Studios, we are about to get even more to talk about for at least a decade or two. The beauty of theory is not always to find answers, but to imagine potential events or even what if scenarios. While The Legend of Korra have answered some of the burning questions we had about what happened after Aang’s victory over Fire Lord Ozai, and after Zuko’s coronation, it also left us with a lot of questions. There’s a huge time gap between the two series, and while the comic books are slowly filling that gap, it’s still far away form answering all of our burning questions. It’s true that we all want to know more about what happened after the Avatar series, but what about what happened before it? The Rise of Kyoshi and The Shadow of Kyoshigives a look at Kyoshi’s life, but we still don’t know how the Order of the White Lotus was born or how Iroh and Bumi became members.

In today’s video I’ll discuss important questions like: is cabbagebending possible? Would Korra kick Aang’s butt in a fight? Why is Mai so grumpy all the time? Alright enough goofing around, here’s 20 Avatar mysteries that need explaining.

I didn’t come up with this but I agree that cabbage man might be part of the white lotus as a non bender and his job was to keep an eye on the gaang as they traveled, because it seems a bit odd that they always find each other from omashu, ba sing se and other places.

Iroh spin off show NEEDS to happen for sure

I'd actually like a Iroh spin-off. It could dive into his perspective of the growing evilness of Ozai since even if Iroh wasn't perfect before his son's death, he was still compassionate and not ruthless. It could also focus on his experience after the loss of his son, Lu Ten.

Roku’s dragon was referred to as “Roku’s [the avatar’s] spirit guide, like appa is to me[aang]”. Whose to say that these are not spirits AND animals? Perhaps they started as spirits and chose to forego their immortal forms to become a natural part of the world so that they could aid benders and avatars along their journey?

A mini comic about Sokka and Toph trying to find the space sword would be SO good

I understand why mai is always grumpy. It’s actually hard being an only child for a long time and then your parents wouldn’t like you to have some fun and then suddenly gives all the love to the second child, wouldn’t you feel grumpy too?

Iroh wasn't called dragon of the west because he killed a dragon, but for his ability to breathe fire. He "demonstrated" it to Azula in an episode.

Wow. I never even realized that Jett was a sacrifice, not just an unfortunate death. I wonder how conscious Katara was of this… I mean, she did almost use the spirit water on Zuko’s scar, and would have if Aang and Iroh didn’t barge in…

The father of Lin beifong is actually a man named Kanto it was revealed in the legend of korra when Bolin asks toph who Lin's father was so toph said, "It was a man named Kanto he was a pretty nice man but things didn't work out between us" so the main mystery is the father of suyin beifong.

14:49 Aang didn’t kill any fire nation soldier as long as we know. What he did kill was the giant wasp in the desert, which broke the air nomads “all life is sacred” rule/norm. But of course, we can see this situation as Aang reaching the bottom of his life, feeling an enormous pain because of loosing Appa, his last attachment to his culture, and of course, his best friend ever

In _The Legend of Korra, _ Toph mentions one of her husbands'/boyfriends' names was Canto. Mentioned once, and never again, but we do know his name. The other one, we don't know. Could be Satoru, but we don't know.

Technically, Korra started a second generation of Avatars, as she released the spirits, and created a new Raava. As a bonus, she is related to the son, grandchildren, wife of the Avatar. Don’t forget the chief of the Northern Water Tribe either

12:59 Loosing her memory wasn’t a “problem”. That’s what she was looking for. The face spirit realized that she was broken, amd that she wanted to forget her abusive relationship. The spirit could just gave her a new face, but it helped her beyond that

if bison can airbend, then Aang was certianly not the last airbender

A big theory for me was that Iroh and his son went to the sun warrior’s temple, probably to teach him about a culture of fire-bending and their ancient techniques, only to both discover the dragons with the dance.

In 'The beach' episode Mai revealed that she had always been controlled and taught by her parents to not be so expressive and reserved. This led to her seeming so uninterested and gloomy.
