We found a nice recliner on the curb near our home. We took it home, vacuumed it, tightened up the bolts and then cleaned it with our DIY Carpet Cleaner solution and our Hoover Power Scrub carpet cleaner using the upholstery attachment.

The water we sucked out of the chair was gross (very dirty).
The Hoover Power Scrub uses very little detergent and lots of water. The suction power is amazing.

The chair was totall dry about 8 hours later. And it looked amazing.

It always amazes me how people will get rid of things than can easily be cleaned up and or fixed at little or not cost.  The armchair is lovely!

So if I want to save money, I'd get really cheap upholstery cleaning solution... But I can't afford the type of vacuum you use to clean the upholstery. Im not poking fun at you. But for me, it almost doesn't seem worth it because since im mostly homebound, I shop online, so that limits access i used to have dor buying more things back then. I know i wouldnt be able to afford the vacuum. But if I had the experience with doing that kind of cleaning, id put the effort into cleaning old stuff and selling it, especially since I need the money! Now, my hoal is to buy a new Best brand recliner chair like the one I used to have, not because Im spoiled, but because I have chronic pain issues from a variety of medican problems i have. The recliner my sister bought me when i moved into my apartment two and a half years ago is too hard & doesnt help provide time fir me to relax with warm heat packs comfortably. I have ifea how ill ne able to make my dream come true when i dont have the transportation nor any local family and friends to help me. For now, im looking to make a DIY upholstery solution to hopefully clean up this one and an old LazyBoy someone threw out. Thanks for your video though. If you have the equipment and resources, youre lucky. Its paralyzing losing almost everything that I owned (like the most comfortable the most comfortable, affordable, good quality recliner, my 1997 Honda Civic, and the most heartbreaking of all: my most beloved 17 year old chihuahua who was severely injured from my mother's abuse of him and me. 😢
