I'm glad the neighbor DID SOMETHING. In so many of these cases, neighbors or other people see kids in bad shape and do nothing for some incomprehensible reason.

I'm very impressed with the DA at the press conference. She was professional & down to business, but also spoke candidly. She was super polite to the press, even addressing them by name. They likely have name badge lanyards, but still. I haven't seen that before.

As a woman who is unable to conceive and having two foster babies of my own, this case is gut wrenching. The thought of individuals doing this for the paycheck make me sick and make it a scary place and system for those of us who just want to lend a helping hand, love on these kiddos and give them everything they deserve.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. My child is 10 years old and a little over 90 pounds. I could not imagine depriving an animal of food let alone a innocent child.

Went to school and was friends with Ethan and his step brother. Ended up graduating and naturally not seeing them anymore, so seeing this news just completely shattered me, I would have never guessed Ethan would be involved with something so evil. He was so very charismatic and friendly, while it was known his family was Christian and strict, it wasn’t something totally uncommon for the area so I’d never given it much thought, though now I wish I had. The older step brother was known to be more rebellious and got a big punishment from his parents once that I won’t go into detail for anonymity’s sake, but with hindsight it just makes me sick to my stomach what he was going through. I hadn’t heard until I watched this well made video that he did end up leaving that household two years ago and the younger stepbrother soon did too, which is so relieving to hear for both of them. Thank you for bringing this story to light

The woman that called 911 should be acknowledged. Thank God he was noticed and saved. I pray that wherever this little boy is placed, he gets treated with love and respect. Nowadays, even the foster parents can be horrible. I don't understand how parents or those fostering children can mistreat and starve children. I pray this little boy gets better. 🙏

Annie I really love how you tell the stories. As a Scottish person there’s quite a few accents I cant fully understand but yours is perfect. Some YouTubers go ALL out and make a sad case sound fun and great with how they interpret it but you give these poor victims a real voice with tender love and care and you do them justice. It’s bad enough when there is one abusive parent, but to have 2 of them encouraging and supporting each other through the abuse is so hard to understand. Hearts so empty and merciless for a vulnerable child in their care.

These people are sick! It's clear by the size of their house that they were not struggling. They are just sadistic. I'm glad that they did not hitting them with weak charges like neglect or child abuse but actual attempted murder because that's what this was.

You are 100% right! Why why why why isn’t anyone following up on this children that live in foster homes? Also, we are seeing these cases more and more often. Breaks my heart in a million pieces 😢 and because of it, I have decided to become a foster parent and open my home to kids that need a loving and safe environment 😭
