Also a good way to tell them apart, salsa usually has more of a traditional sound with bongos and pianos, whereas bachata music seems to be more "R&B" slow romantic music, a lot more guitar influence. (So you dont cross up your moves when they switch songs 😂)

I went to a ballroom dance class a few years ago through a local ballroom dance club, had two hour lessons for $10 twice a month, I think it was. Bachata was the first dance I learned. It is so easy and fun!
