Compare British Japanese restaurants like Wagamama, Moonsha and Cosmo, to traditional Japanese food you'd expect to find / eat out in Japan.
To be honest, you could do those comparisons for any British restaurant hosting a foreign cuisine. I think it'd be really interesting to see how they differ.
