I have learned that people pleasing is a form of control and manipulation. Those of us with the problem are trying to change our behavior to elicit the response we desire from other people. I never realized this and it has really changed my perspective on the problem.

I have struggled so long with people pleasing and being worried about what people think of me because I do not love myself I come from a very traumatic childhood that I’m still working over come all while trying to prevent my children from having trauma but this message released something inside of me and for the first time in my life, I feel like I can be me and I don’t have to worry because God loves me and forgives me thank you

WOW.. @ 25:48 that stopped me in my tracks.. I really needed that . To hear someone say exactly what I've been starting to finally notice myself doing for most of my life is comforting . Not that I wish it upon anyone. It's a sickening feeling when you don't know how to tell someone no and just do what they want because you can't say no(too afraid).
