a)10th term
Tn=ar^n-1
T10=1(2)¹⁰-¹
=1(2)⁹
=512.
b)20th term
r=T2/T1
r=2/1=2 greater 1
Sn=a(r^n-1)/r-1
S20=1(2²⁰-1)/2-1
=1(1048576-1)/1
=1•1048575/1
=1048575.
therefore the 10th term is 512. and 20th terms is 1048575.
