I think only Americans have a problem with your accent and accents in general. I’m South African and it sounds normal to me. Maybe it’s easier for people from other countries to understand different accents since English is not our native language and basically everyone we meet and in my country speaks with their own unique accents unlike in America and English where people generally speak with the same accent.
