Job Search on LinkedIn: The 1 Tip You Need to Know!

🗯 "Nothing good in life comes easy" so in this video, I'm going to share you How to Job Search on Linkedin...the HARD way!

If you're a job seeker trying to use LinkedIn to find a job, you might think that using the "Apply Now" or Easy Apply feature is your best bet. It's fast and efficient right? The problem with that approach is that since it is so easy, everyone is doing the same thing so it's hard for you to stand out as a job seeker on LinkedIn

Or perhaps you KNOW you need to network on LinkedIn to find a job you want, but you're not sure where to start. The best way to begin is to engage with active LinkedIn users, who usually have a vast network already. You do this by first finding out where the active users are and commenting on their posts. Rinse and repeat for 2-4 weeks and I promise you will make progress on your job search journey

After you have engaged and hopefully re-engaged these active LinkedIn users, you want to follow up and send connection requests that get accepted. I highly recommend Austin Belcak's 3-step LinkedIn Connection Request formula since it's so simple and effective

First, lead with positivity, then show them you've done your homework, and finally ask them a genuine question so they feel like you're seeking guidance from them (which you are!)

Good luck and enjoy the journey 😁

Given Jeff’s high success rate on bumble and Tinder, YouTube is clearly the best place to shoot your shot, internet admirers 😌

Haha it's adorable when you slyly say something funny nonchalantly and move on the next second. Showcases your personality. Also really helpful tips, been on the job search for a month haven't heard back anywhere. I'mma try networking your way now.

You make sure the 6 minutes the audience spent on your video are worth it! And how you go into specifics with examples rather than giving cliche points like other youtube influencers. I also love how you are framework-oriented, I can completely relate there. Thanks. Keep making more such valuable content.

Excellent Video Jeff,

This would help me a lot for gaining exposure in the Big Four corporates.

(Since there are quite less people talking about corporate career scaling, your videos have real value in them & they are professionally presented)
Thanks.

I have always been told “linkedin is your best friend” and finally i have been enlightened by you in this video of how to use it successfully, so thankyou for this video. It has given me a motivation boost☺️

I just had a couple of questions i was hoping you could help with

- what advice would you give on shortlisting some companies, as in how do you pick them out?
- Some careers advisors recommend targeting small businesses. How does one find these? I am interested in business/marketing
