I got to hitch a ride with them a few times out if JBLM when doing things with 2/75. Awesome pilots and crews. The osprey was the most fun and initially terrifying ride. You're sitting in the back linked in with that aviation restraint and as it rotates the engines forward the inertia slowly starts moving you towards the open ramp. Then your restraint holds you in place. Scary at first then fun.

I remember when the local news was covering the Nightstalkers training around Downtowns Los Angeles with the Blackhawks and Little Birds. People HATED it because they were bothering the residents. Others were on balconies or the streets shooting video and pics. Seeing some of that footage here made me think "No way a Chinook would have been brought into the city."
