Wonder if the cctv in the car park all of a sudden didn't work that day. 🤔

he could have been a knife salesman, going into the police station, to show the knife to kitchen staff, to show them how good the knife is for cutting potatoes to make nice chips.

1. Why didn't they use a tazer?
2. What's the issue with police car parks? Let me guess, illegal number plates, no insurance, no MOT. ...
3. Secure car park? Oxymoron.

having sound problems must be catching lol, so if giving away cash is a sign of mental health problems, may be thats something many of the government need checking for with the amount of our money they have done the same with, respects buddy 👍👍

The point of Police using disorientation as well as screaming and swearing to force compliance is something I have found counter productive and frightening.

I personally, will not use crisis lines or tell friends or family when my mental health deteriorates precisely because of the way Police treat mental health situations.
(I’m a victim of childhood SA,
I am struggling more with it as I get older)
I have had 2 wellness checks done by Police.
The first time they used intimidation, surrounded me, barked orders at me, and then told me I was a waste of their time when they realised I wasn’t in a crisis. They hopped from foot too foot and tugged on their vests like they were on cocaine. They were jumpy and amped up… they were knocking elbows and saying shit like “Here we go” and “gotta get ‘em” as I watched them walk up my driveway unexpectedly. The entire situation taught me Police are a danger, they don’t care…. Those Cops wanted to inflict violence.

The second time I was surrounded by 3 Police.
One looked like he wanted to smash my head in, he stared at me with contempt. The second realised we had a mutual friend and was cool, the third was a senior Sargent… he was okay… but He was just ticking the boxes with all the counselling buzzwords and I was just a problem not a person.

If my mates friend hadn’t been there… I believe things could have escalated to violence. I dunno.
I’m over sharing here.

Again, My experience has taught me that Police are a danger. I can’t risk accessing help or support because Police Instead of mental health experts are who are sent out. 🤷‍♂️

According to his brief he spoke broken English and communicated via a translator. It does seem like excessive force from what we've been told so far. Apparently he was shot almost immediately as the ARV arrived according to the times given by the local newspaper. There are also different accounts on how many shots were heard. I've heard of 3, 4 and I think 6 shots being heard by locals. It sounds like he was possibly attacking the vehicles in the car park given the reports of broken windows. If that's the case, was he an imminent threat to anybody? I'm trying not to pre-judge but it's hard not to think that this was a knee jerk reaction by the police. Let's hope the investigation isn't a whitewash

I totally agree with your assessment. When I applied for a shotgun certificate I was visited by a WPC who after seeing my firearms qualifications said I should apply for a job as a firearms instructor with the police as I had more qualifications than their instructors. To reinforce that statement when I had a breakdown in 2019 as per regulations the doctor informed the police and 4 officers turned up and did not know how to check that my air rifle was safe before putting it in the car. Police firearms training 1 out of 10.

They use tazers, batons and pepper spray on a one-legged, disabled, wheelchair-bound 93 year-old wielding a dinner knife in his room at an old peoples' home (a couple of months ago) Two burly coppers so terrified of this old man with dementia that they use such force that he is killed, albeit the death occurs 3 weeks after the dreadful and merciless attack.

It's not just a police station it's a joint police and fire so was a risk to fire police and civilian staff a bit to early to throw them under the bus.

Do the police never consider the possibility of "suicide by police" in not first using less than lethal force on an erratic person? Assisted suicide is MURDER in most nations.
