In this video see the Seagate external hard drive review and setup. The Seagate External Expansion Hard Drive with 6TB is compatible with Windows and MAC computers. You will also see the Seagate external HDD being unboxed quickly, then connected to a ACER Desktop and then speed tested with Crystal Disk Marks for read and write speeds. The Seagate expansion desktop drive comes in different storage sizes, 4TB, 6TB and 8TB. Seagate expansion portable USB 3.0 HDD is a mechanical drive but runs quiet and fast.

The Seagate external expansion 6TB HDD is great for backing up important files and game storage. Seagate external hard drive PC gaming drive is also great for storing tons of games and video editing storage. This might be something to consider for a external hard drive xbox one gaming boxes. And this USB 3.0 external hard drive from Seagate can also work very well as a Apple drive or a External MAC drive for expanding your MAC laptop computers storage too.

As far as pricing goes for external hard drives (HDD) this one I consider to be one of the best budget external hard drive you can purchase today. Seagate is a top brand name that has been making internal and external hard drives since the early 80's. I've been buying and using there hard drives ever since I can remember and they have always been reliable and long lasting. But keep in mind Western Digital has been a great hard drive brand for just about as many years as well. Both the Seagate external drives and Western Digital external drives are both great to be used on Windows and Apple MAC computers for data storage drives and data backup drives. These might not be the fastest external drive you can buy but it sure is budget minded and solid hardware. So in summary this Seagate external hard drive PC is pretty good for all my required computer backups, hard drive game storage and computer storage or laptop storage needs. And especially for Apple music, Apple gaming storage space because this Seagate hard drive HDD is Apple MAC and Microsoft Windows compatible.

Just downloaded 300gbs worth of games to my new 4TB device and it only took 30 mins, my internet is 10mb/s so I was impressed. Kept up at 150 MB

The Seagate external hard drives are actually faster than people think for downloading games. On PC, the hard drive works to reserve space and then downloads at decent speeds despite it being a hard drive. I get on average 200mbps download speed through the hard drive which is really good. If you really want to take advantage of your internet download speed then I highly recommend really good internal ssd storage.

The only problem with this drive is that it has no active cooling and tempts can get up to 59C under stress. Best to put a fan on low speed pointing at the vents if you're doing extended testing.

I bought a 10tb version of this and I have 200kb/s internet speed. do you think that I can fill it up in this lifetime?😂😂

It was a toss up for this and the WD 8TB Elements, WD won out mostly due to it having an on/off button, the extra 2TB for a small price increase over the Seagate made it better, however I would much prefer the Seagate because of its case being sturdy unlike the WD, If only it had a button.

just bought the same drive, connected to USB 3.2, tested it and.. I'm getting 20-30mb write speeds in crystaldiskmark, tried with NTFS and exFat and still the same, what is wrong, should I return it?

Glad I returned the one I had purchased at Walmart. Same 6TB model, but it was loud. Thumping and ticking while running the self- and generic tests via SeaTools. The readout from CrystalDisk looked odd to me also. No power on time prior to me powering it up, but numbers looked like were all over the place. Think there might have even already been reallocated sectors.

I am curious how quiet yours is, while idle and while transferring data or running a self-test. Maybe I was just being overly-critical of my purchase. But, when it comes to long term data storage, I like my drives to be pristine. Or as close to it as possible, as far as I can tell lol. idk. HDDs are great for long term storage, but dodgy by nature.

I have the same HDD with 4 tb version. The sound is killing me. I have a very queit environment, my computer is dead silent too. No Hard Drives besides this device... There is always a noise. And it wakes up from sleep constantly without a reason. And when it is working it has head killing sound. I ran lots of tests, copied big chunks of data, and using the drive for almost 2 months. No problem there, but could this noise means I have a defective unit ? Or is this normal for an HDD. I had external HDDs before. Nothing comes close to this HDD in terms of sound-loudness. What are your thoughts around this ? :)

If the drive is plugged in to a electrically powered USB hub with it's own power adaptor, is the power adapter still required for the drive to work? Thank you.

Thanks sir for this. Can you please answer this - 1. It mean whenever I need to transfer my phone data to this Hdd, I need to transfer via computer than I can unplug right?
2. Is this Hdd better than regular seagate or wd passport. Recently my fell off and lost lot of data, although under warranty so will get a replacement. Kindly reply. Thanks 😍🌹❤️

Does the 4tb version of this run as fast as your 6tb version or is it slower?
