I got a supposed 4tb external Seagate drive from Ebay. Laptop kept rejecting it and I noticed just how crappy the cable connector on the case was. I popped the case open and nearly the same as your one, but with a TF camera memory card on a circuit board. Had the same dodgy hot glue and steel weight as well, I reported seller to Ebay two days ago but haven't heard anything as of yet.

I bought a no-name 1TB external HD off Amazon last year, finally got around to using it. Long story short I opened it up and it's basically the same fake POS as this except it has a USB A plug on one end and a microUSB plug on the other end.

Same for me with 5TB. The first thing you notice about the dizziness is the weight. Secondly, you can create a 120 GB partition - you can then no longer format the second 120 GB partition. The fake doesn't understand that.

Just pulled down a 2TB fake seagate...Failed and eBay refunded my money after banning the seller. Exactly the same internally

I purchased a 2 tb Seagate Expansion Portable HDD drive from the Casas Bahia marketplace (seller INOVE AQUI) in May 2024.
When I received the package, it seemed to be an original Seagate product. But when I held it in my hands, I felt that it was too light for an HDD. The case is very similar.
When connected to USB, Windows recognized it as UDISK, not EXPANSION like other original HDDs I have from Seagate.
I requested a refund from Casas Bahia and they did it. I sent the fake HDD back to the seller, and it came back to me as RECIPIENT NOT FOUND.
I never opened it. I will do so in the near future.

Wowww. A USB drive inside? 😂 Guessing 2.0 also. I saw those on Amazon a while back and hated the design. Black with the silver logo is my favorite. But both that and the newer black logo externals have been reliable and lasted a very long time on my end.

My employee has been using one fake harddisk like this for a year. Now it's broken with all the company files worth a year in it. Nowhere in my country can restore the lost data. They said the chip is down but the data is still in there, Just that no program can access the alien chip they use. I wonder if there's a genius that can restore it. I would pay tons for the service. (Good thing the 80% of lost data is saved somewhere else but still very problematic)

wow, so is the chip inside the case a flashdrive?

I didn't expect them to not bother even putting in an old drive, probably one that has failed, let alone this lol

lol I was wondering what is inside. I already know the ones I see for 900 PHP is fake because I buy lots of HDDs they are around $70 in the US. I was thinking there is no way selling they can sell 2TB for $20. You always check for pricing and the is obvious pattern. Reviews in Shopee look the same. They always have specific amount of pictures and one video. Same for phones.

Pricing knowledge and looking review pattern is best way to avoid getting scam but it is not perfect once scammers start trying to price match with real product but so far shopping for 2 years. It's been working.

2TB should at least be around 3000-3500 PHP

Made in China, piece of crap garbage, no shame.

There's literally a factory churning out tons of this crap. Pen drives, fake HDD, and it's everywhere online.
