Should The Daily Kos Stop Attacking 'Bernie Bros'?

TYT contributor Ryan Grim shares his personal views on the focus of his recent article, "Daily Kos Is Back." In part 1, he invites an honest appraisal of Moulitsas' decision to declare Daily Kos a "constructive comments only" — or "No Bernie Bro" zone as TYT Politics' Nomiki Konst put it in the same article. And, here in part 2, Grim voices some doubt about Markos' decision to continue using the term "Bernie Bros."

That kind of "tough love" is exactly why I will NOT "join" with establishment Dems. If they wanted Unity, they should have helped James Thompson in Kansas. And stop calling us "Bros". It's insulting. I don't dislike HC because she's female, to insinuate that is divisive. To ignore the Primary fiasco is also divisive. Unify that, Kos.

I would if there was any evidence that the top of the party was going to change. But there isn't - the only way it might is if we force it from the bottom up, which means we need to continue to loudly declare that we aren't going to stand for another rigged primary - we shouldn't have stood for the last one, and many of us (though nowhere near enough) didn't. Kos on the other hand, not only stood for it, he fucking backed it by trying to silence us.

Daily Kos is *not* a progressive place. They are partisans. I actually have a hard time imagining a policy proposal too ugly for the majority of DK to embrace if the Democratic establishment supported it

Question: Doesn't the usage of the term Bernie Bros ignore the fact that many women voted for Bernie as well? Is that not sexist and silencing of their voices?

I used to subscribe to the Daily Kos, but when they started to bash Bernie, I dumped the Kos and the money I would have spent to support them went to support Bernie instead. Ill never go back to the Kos. Its a sinking ship as far as I can see.

When you support warmongers you lose your progressive cred. When you actively resist progressive candidates and policy you gain progressives anger. Daily Kos sucks and is one of the places I give zero credibility to.

Wanted to watch TYT politics but this one player keeps kicking my ass
