Israel's Massive Protests Putting Pressure On Netanyahu

TMR examines Israel’s ongoing mass protests of Prime Minister Netanyahu stripping the judiciary’s power, and the cognitive dissonance of Israel’s “democracy for me and fascism for thee” perspective on the apartheid state.

Large protests continued after Netanyahu fired his Defense Minister for being critical of his proposed judicial reforms. In Tel Aviv, a police chief joined the protesters in marching. In clip provided by Al Jazeera, Israeli policed use water cannons on protesters as they took to the streets in Tel Aviv.

DAILY REMINDER:
This is a prime example of who Alabama Man is: A person that uses countless bots until trigger words are met, then he responds. Always remember that when he types lies flow forth. Report all of his post that violate the rules (99% rate at this point) and ignore him so he gets none of the attention that he is screaming for. Let the moderators purge him from TMR's videos.

Woot! You can't be a dictator if all the citizens with badges, uniforms, and firearms stand back and give you a "hell nah."

Palestinian citizens of Israel (those within the Green Line) are full citizens and have voting rights. In fact, the coalition which replaced Netanyahu for a year-and-a-half had an Arab party as a key component. During its brief tenure, that government appointed the first Muslim Supreme Court judge. (He was preceded by a Christian Arab, the first non-Jew on the Supreme Court.) So the extreme right-wing tendency of Netanyahu's government is backlash to Palestinian citizens of Israel getting a tiny bit of representation (not nearly proportional, as they are over 20% of the population) at the highest levels of power. This may sound familiar to Americans...

Im israeli, im left wing.

I disagree with the outlook on the Israeli left and their views on Palestinians.
Many many of the left are fully aware of the injustices suffered by the Palestinians.
There are alot of conversations amongst friend and family over the issue, alot of arguments.

To say the left is blind to these things forgets who put Rabin in power. Who voted for the Gaza pullout.

To mistake the citizens for their government is like saying the American left doesnt care about gay, black, or womens rights because they 'allowed' Trump to take office .

Hope it tears this Apartheid-regime apart for good.

What difference will it make if it’s a democratic apartheid state or more despotic one? I wish this pushback would end the creeping fascistic turn in Israel. The whole backslide of democracy globally is alarming. It’s looking more like the interwar period.

Good job fighting fascism Isreali citizens. Keep protesting and fighting for your democracy. But also, Free Palestine! We can do both.

You remind me of Democracy Now
Great!
I subscribed.
Remember, this is not for Israeli democracy, they are talking about the democracy for "Jews" of Israeli.
There are 65 Laws against Arab citizens of Israel (Im not talking about Palestinians).

...As long as there are more people who will keep voting for Fascists then these protests won't change anything.
