Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

When your stories start with..."well, I was tied with Seve..." you know you're a legend!

Bearing in mind that you must have been extremely nervous that was some of your best ball striking I’ve seen. What an honour to have played with Tom.

Tom’s feat of almost winning the Open at age 60 ranks as one of my favorite golf moment and is arguably one of the most impressive feat accomplished in golf.

Can we just acknowledge the quality of content that Rick puts out. This is unbelievable. The opportunity to see St. Andrews this close up. Unbelievable.

Rick's ability to 'walk with Kings-nor lose the common touch' is why his channel is one of the best on Youtube. Cheers Rick!

Walking up the 18th hole at St Andrews with a 5 time open champion and all around nice guy Tom Watson, doesn't get any better than that ⛳

As a senior player myself its gratifying to see him use that smooth stroke with excellent results. Its not all about power and club seed. What a gentleman!

That was incredible. I have 3 sons. Two played high school and college golf. The oldest played about 6 years on the mini tours and actually won twice. They all grew up in the 70s and 80s while Tom Watson was the best golfer on the planet. Mr Watson is considered a deity in my family. It took our family a good three months to get over the disappointing loss to Stewart Cink. None of us to this day have anything kind to say about Mr Cink ( just kidding). Tom’s memory is phenomenal. We saw him play at the Greater Greensboro Open the year he was first Ryder cup captain. After the Friday round he came out of the scorers tent and found my boys because he noticed the intense cheering squad that followed him for 2 days. He spent a good 30 minutes talking with them. They were thrilled. In 1997 my oldest son and I were at the Masters and found Tom on the Third tee waiting for the fairway to clear. Brian was in the front row wearing a Ram hat. Tom saw him and joked that he liked his hat. Brian replied that he liked Tom’s hat also. The crowd laughed. Then Tom looked at my son and said I remember you from Greensboro. Is your dad here. Brian said yes and Tom waved and spoke to me. Great memories from a great man.

I'm convinced that Tom just doesn't age. And he's still got an incredible full swing

That was priceless. This is why I love watching your channel Rick. Playing the old course with a legend like Tom and bringing back all those memories. The conversation so engaging that I selfishly wanted to see more. Bravo!

The fact that Rick is both featured on the Open channel, and given this opportunity to play there, and can have such a legendary playing partner, is a true testament to his impact as an ambassador for the game. We know, and so do they. Good on ya Rick!
