The water is fine. Only in a few select places the water is contaminated. In Florida, the water practically comes directly from aquifers. It's filled with minerals making it "hard" but safe to drink.

Don't listen to this video, the water is safe in the US except for a few cities with is less than 1% of the US. You would know if the water is bad. Rarely water authorities have issues with the water but it is usually resolved is a few days.

As an American, this is total 🐂💩. The tap water is very clean due to our high water safety standards (unless you live in certain cities like Flint Michigan). American has many problems, but tap water is certainly not one of them.

I'm a water purifier in the army. We had people in our barracks getting sick from the tap water. The tap was the only place we could fill our camelbaks.

In Washington State, the tap water is arguably more pure than some water bottles...I think it honestly depends on the local governments and how they deal with the situation, because this definitely is not a national issue.
