A: There were a couple tracks in here (the new one from TWDY in particular) that I wanted to get posted on Youtube soon, and it just so happens that they're in the 6th installment of this series. #5 will be posted in another week or two.

While I appreciate all forms of music under the post-rock "umbrella" (including post metal, shoegaze, black ambient, more upbeat post-rock, etc.), ambient/post-rock blends always seem to touch my the deepest parts of my consciousness. I get the same sense of transcendent wonder from listening to this music that I do when I am in nature and witness a gorgeous landscape, or when I am in a cozy place with my loved ones.

Along with meditation, weight lifting, and harnessing the "power of now", this type of music has played an integral role in helping me with my struggles with depression and hopelessness. It encapsulates so much of what is precious with the world, and I am so thankful that there are plenty of artists who share their work with us.
