Honestly this is the best animation that explains it I’ve been watching for 10 mins trying to comprehend lmao

For those who don't understand how: Basically, the revolution and rotation time of the moon are the same. Whenever the moon rotates and similarly earth also rotates and they both kind of lock together (called Tidal Locking). Until the other side of the moon reaches, it completes one revolution and comes back to the same position again.

For those who still didn’t understand. Imagine someone circling around you but constantly minor adjusts his feet to always face you

I like the way he said moon instead of the moon

For those confused. It DOES make a rotation around its own axis. It just takes EXACTLY the same amount of time to complete 1 full rotation as it takes for it to complete 1 full revolution around the Earth.
It's still completing a rotation around It's own axis. If you watch again, think about the directions east and west. Starting off, the red side is facing east. When it gets to the other side of earth, the red side had rotated around it own axis and is facing west. Then it gets back to where it started and the red side is facing east again. If you were just watching the moon by itself in space, not knowing it was revolving around the Earth, you would observe it rotating around it's own axis and it would take about 27 days to complete. (The same amount of time to revolve around the earth once.)

The moon is tidally lock, thats why we see only 1 side of moon

Still doesn’t show the moon spinning. It showed it rotating the earth but the moon apparently also spins so that would make the dark side visible!

moon rotates on its own axis (not a full rotation since it must always face earth?) as its spinning around earth? 🌏🌘

The moon did not make a full rotation on its own axis while traveling in the orbiting circle path around Earth. I call bullshit.

Moon doesn't rotate due to its inertia. Moon rotates because its earth side is permanently locked towards earth due to earth's large gravitational pull.

Can you make animation video of Moon’s highest and lowest rising points cycle

The 1:1 relation between translation around the and rotating on its own axis is what is incredible miraculous! and really really really unique on a suplercluster level unique

totally right, i have seen its full rotation in real life but i haven't still spotted it.

The Earth isn't a ball, and when you actually fact check the heliocentric model you'll start realizing and seeing the truth

The moon is cosmic plasma. We never went to the moon

Respectfully, I do not agree. it is a fact that the moon does NOT rotate on its axis at all. The moons parent body is the Earth. Not the sun. Perspective is important.

In other words, it's called Tidally locked😊
