Earth's moon was formed about 4.5 billion years ago when, according to one theory, the Earth slammed into another early planet. What fact about our moon did you find most interesting?

I hate how people see the moon everyday and they don’t care. ITS SO COOL!!! It’s a magical rock that rotates around the earth, I can’t help but look during the day

Moon is underrated, I mean just look at it! It looks so magical, it's really hard to look away. A sphere with big craters on it that floats in the sky and creates mind blowing astronomical events such as eclipses.

The moon is such a wonderful thing. I can't really place how I feel whenever I remember that this is the same moon creatures on earth has been staring up at for billions of years, but it really is a beautiful thing.

My favourite thing about the moon is how it lights up my garden at night time. It’s so beautiful.

The moon is just so cool. It’s like a whole other world that we can see every night without the need of telescopes. I wonder how it’s like to witness a total lunar eclipse on the moon 🤔

The fact I found most interesting was the largest crater, the Aitken basin is deep enough to hold Mount Everest. Another fact I really enjoyed learning was the surface of the Moon was once geologically active covered in an ocean of magma. From what I understand the Earth collided with a planet named Theia, so I wonder was the hot magma which flowed at one time on the Moon's surface a result of the violent collision.

Y’know Saturn and Jupiter can give me at least one of their moons like they have enough to share

For me, The most interesting fact was that the moon rotates at the same rate as it revolves around the earth. Of course, I knew the same side of the moon always faces the earth but I had never considered why. Now I know why I wonder what the probability of that happening was. I mean, isn't that statistically very very improbable?
