"I have total authority" coupled with "I take no responsibility" is a rather problematical combination.

Someone warned us about Trump's temperament being all wrong for the job way back in 2016. Her name was Hillary Clinton and she was spot on in her assessment.

I can only imagine what the response would have been from fox, and right-wing nutters if President Obama had said " as president, I have total authority."😲
Conservative evangelicals would have been in church with their eyes rolled back in their heads, speaking in tongues, and spinning rattlesnakes in each hand. Hannity and Lou Dobbs would have both stripped naked, bolting out of fox studios, and ending up running around time square in circles waving their hands in the air while making siren sounds with their mouths.

It is not so much anymore about trump being crazy, as it is about USA being crazy for still having him as their president.
This is, anyhow, how it seems.
Though I'm well aware a big part of the country would like (that's saying it mildly...) for him to be gone from the white house.
The frustration is palpable even from where the rest of the world is watching.

When he comes out and gives his OK to reopen the country he can’t lose. If the governors don’t, it’s their fault the economy is in the tank. If they do and the virus comes back hard he will just say “ why did they listen to me, they are the ones on the ground and should have known better”. If they do and the virus doesn’t come back he can play the hero, see I know better than the experts.

Trump was informed of his temperament issues by the secret service, but they had to wait for his response right after he stopped stamping his feet and throwing a hissy fit!
