I keep a small Umbrella in case it rains and a clean micro fibre at the side pocket which I use to wipe clean my dashboard, steering wheel etc from dust when stuck in traffic jam or at a red light

This only really applies to colder places, but I keep an emergency blanket in my car year round. Nothing is worse than having your car die in the middle of nowhere, and it's freezing cold outside. You don't want to get hypothermia while you wait for help to arrive.

I think an additional good thing to have in your car are those floss picks. Every time I’m driving (everyday) I always floss. Good if you need to get stuff out after lunch or whatever.

Dont store fragrance in your car, the constant temperature fluctuations will degrade it. Sunscreen should also be stored in a dark cool place so if you absolutely have to store some in your car try to keep the bottle as small as possible and make sure its a physical sunscreen (zinc or titanium oxide as active ingredients).
