Converting arnold to vray

Maya Scene Converter is a python-based Qt tool for converting scenes from a render engine to another in Maya, it is not a perfect conversion and it depends on rules files and how good they are but gives you a great head start.

Features

Creates rules to convert from a source render engine to a target render engine
Easy UI to create, save and load the rules
Supports all shading related nodes: Materials,Textures,Utilities and Lights
Converts all the scene or selected objects
Scans the scene for any node or only what belongs to the source engine
Some ready examples of rules files (not very precise but very functional)
Prints info about all conversions
Tested with Windows only but could work on other operating systems
Tested with Maya 2018+ but could work on previous versions

Thank you for making this tool. It says there an installer that you can download but I don't see it. I'm no the most tech savy, is there some direction on how to actually install this thing?

One question for you: To convert a scene from VRay to Arnold does your tool require VRay to be installed on the machine?

hi! i just tried it to convert Maya lambert materials to redshift, it works but it doesn't connect them back to the object, is it normal ?

I am getting this error when i am running the file, Tried reinstalling but not working, Using maya 2022

how to install this script?? I tried this and that, but I couldn't. The error code will appear every time we proceed. # Error: NameError: file <maya console> line 22: name '__file__' is not defined # ...
So, i tried change sentence "__file__" but Error: ImportError: file <maya console> line 24: No module named Qt # this code appears..
